Haifa Airport (aka U. Michaeli airport, ICAO: LLHA, IATA: HFA) - one of the airports in Israel. It is located on the north-east of Haifa, near the shipyards Haifa port. Airport used mainly for civilian purposes, and only slightly in the military. Most of the passenger traffic is reduced to the local: in Tel Aviv (Sde Dov Airport. Ben-Gurion), Eilat. Predominantly short-haul international flights: Cyprus, Turkey and Jordan. The airport is named after Uri Michaeli, one of the pioneers of Israeli aircraft. The airport is only one short runway length of 1318 meters of asphalt.
